Local investors in Puerto Peñasco development complain their refunds is overdue

Arizona investors in a hotel-condominium complex in Puerto Peñasco say they are still awaiting a promised refund from the owners, whose beachfront rooms were unavailable for use.

It takes a special kind of fool to get burned by Mexican scams then still not "get it" that they have been taken for the suckers they are.

Of course every new gringo sucker thinks he is smart enough to not get suckered by ignorant Mexicans.

You need a translator.

When they say "We're going to elevate the quality."  it means the rotted out foundation will get a brick shoved under it, that the new paint "quality" will be "elevated" from piss poor all the up to " poor".

I bet this has them Mexicans shaking in their cowboy boots..

"Arizona regulators, meanwhile, have given the property's Sonora operators until March 4 to reimburse investors or they may not be allowed to advertise their upcoming development in Arizona."

Oh man, "may not be allowed to advertise their upcoming development in Arizona"! Of course with a little bribe the true meaning of "may not" will be clear.

Even "IF they are not allowed to advertise in Arizona the big money is in California and New York.

Suckers!

Economic sanctions could be highly effective if our public officials have the cojones to use them.
Foreign operators who have scammed the American public should NOT be allowed to advertise their ventures in Arizona or any other state. I'd take it a step further and publish the names and particulars of these foreign criminals so that future investors can be aware of their track record
It's high time we start protecting our own, fools or not.
