D-M jets to keep close eye on skies above Super Bowl

When the Super Bowl is played on Sunday, members of Tucson's 162nd Fighter Wing could have a prime view of the contest, though fans likely won't ever see them.

The 162nd Fighter Wing is from
Arizona Air National Guard based in Tucson not based at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base.

How can you trust a so called "newspaper" that can't even get home town stuff correct?
But of course the Liberal Democrat run Star has been lying about or Military for so long they can't tell what the facts are anymore.

Welcome to the 162d Fighter Wing
The Arizona Air National Guard based in Tucson is home to the Air National Guard's premier fighter pilot training organization.  It sits on 92 acres next to the Tucson (Arizona) International Airport.  The base is home to the 162nd Fighter Wing.
The Air National Guard in Tucson is home to F-16 training for the U.S. Air Force, Air National Guard, Air Force Reserve, and International countries.   162FW - F-16
Three flying squadrons comprise the Wing: Under the 162nd Operations Group are the 152nd, the 195th, the 148th Fighter Squadrons and International Military Student Office (IMSO).   Supporting these units are the Mission Support Group, the Maintenance Group, the Medical Group, Headquarters Squadron, the Civil Engineer Squadron, the Communications Flight, and the Services Flight.
The unit's history dates to 1956 when the 152nd Fighter Interceptor Squadron of the Arizona Air National Guard, flew the Korean War vintage F-86A.  At that time the "base" consisted of an old adobe farmhouse and a dirt-floor hangar with enough space for three aircraft.
Today, the 162nd Fighter Wing features new modern buildings, up-to-date equipment and continually updated technology that keeps pace with its rapidly changing roles and missions.  The ultramodern Air Guard Base at Tucson is very different from the adobe farmhouse and dirt-floor hangar of forty years ago.   What's common from forty years ago is the outstanding men and women dedicated to making the 162nd Fighter Wing the finest fighter training wing in the world.

Wake up people, The Arizona Daily Star is a far left hate the Military Democrat Propaganda rag with one mission, get Open Border Democrats elected by lying to you every day.

They can't even get their home town military correct, how can you trust them with nation and World wide stories?

If you support any business that advertises in the Star you are helping them lie to you and their readers about our brave military and the invading illegal aliens  now 20-30 million strong.
